Everyone wants to look younger, whether its to have a better chance during a job interview, impress a love interest or just look as good as they feel. Nowadays, there are many different procedures and chemicals that boast the ability to turn back the clock, but many of them remain untested and could leave you with results you may not be happy to see in the mirror each morning.

Often, it is best to stick with a tried-and-true technique. A facelift performed by a well-trained surgeon with a keen aesthetic eye is still the most reliable way to recapture a refreshed, youthful appearance. If your facial skin is loose and creased, a facelift may be the perfect solution. Below, you will find the answers to three frequently asked questions about the procedure.

1. What Kind Of Time Commitment Does A Facelift Require?

Facelifts are relatively minor operations, and the length of each will depend on how much work needs to be done to achieve the patients desired results. The operation will take anywhere from one to four hours depending on the patients age, skin elasticity and goals.

To ensure a speedy recovery, patients are instructed to stay home from work for about two weeks at which point there should be no more swelling. A full recovery is generally achieved at about the three-week mark.

2. Can A Facelift Be Combined With Another Cosmetic Surgery?

Every patient is different, and your surgeon can determine if you are eligible for a combined procedure during an initial consultation. The two most common procedures that are performed in conjunction with a facelift are blepharoplasties (eyelid surgeries) and rhinoplasties (nose surgeries). Combining two procedures will extend the amount of time it takes to complete the surgery.

One benefit of combining surgeries is that you will be recovering from both simultaneously, but it may make the recovery slightly more uncomfortable.

3. Why Do Some Facelifts Look Great And Some Look Strange?

Most patients are concerned about having a facelift because they have seen or heard of people whose facelift made them look strange and even unnatural. The success of a facelift comes down to the surgeon that performs it. Some surgeons mistakenly view the goal of a facelift as creating a new look.

Dr. Freeman, on the other hand, works hard to help you reclaim your younger face for the most natural look possible. A successful facelift should leave a person looking youthful and refreshed. It should not make them look like a new person; it should make them look like the best possible version of themselves. To learn more about how Dr. Freemans facelift procedure, Call Us At Today!
